“ Got there in line 30mins before opening. Everything tasted great! The brisket was very thinly sliced like deli meat and didn't have much flavor. It wasn't bad, just different than we prefer. The burnt ends and pork were our favorite meats. The brown sugar on the sweet potato fries made them extra tasty and addictive! Ribs were great! Excellent service ”
“ The high ratings and good reviews are not lies. We are very impressed with the quality and taste of their food. The smoked chicken was delicious——all skinless and boneless chicken thighs. We ordered to go and they packed our food carefully and the slabs were double wrapped and covered with foil. This is the BEST smokehouse and our BEST takeout experience. I love the way they cook the green beans. It’s tender and the extra pepper enhanced the flavor. We definitely want to come back. ”
“ Wow if you want super tender, super flavorful ribs this is the place to go. I knew when we walked in before lunch time and there was a line that it was well worth the wait. Everything we got was delicious. The smoked chicken was wonderful. Recommend getting the fire and ice pickles. So tasty. Baked beans were great. It was my first time having vinegar cole slaw and I enjoyed that. All of the BBQ sauces were good. Grabbed a bottle to bring home. ”
“ Holy cow. This place is fantastic! First off, you need to come early! We came 10 minutes before open and there was already a 30 minute line, this place is that good. The servers are fantastic and very helpful while you wait in line. If you are going to do anything, get the ribs, I will repeat this again, get the ribs! These are the best ribs I have ever had in my life and it isn’t close. The bark is super thick and flavorful but the meat is like butter but in all the best ways. Their brisket is not worth your time in my opinion, it has great flavor but the deli slice is not my preferred for brisket. One last statement is that my son is in a very picky stage at almost 2 years old and he always has a hard time finding things he likes at restaurants and at this place this was probably the most I have ever seen him enjoy his food in his entire life, he could not good enough of those ribs. He was so happy and it was such a great experience. We will definitely be back! ”
“ When you were voted the best ribs in the USA I have to try them for sure!! First the sides. Really good mustard based potato salad. All the right flavors for sure. The baked beans were on the sweeter side. Thick sauce and shredded brisket in them. Really nice. The brisket they are thin slicing which is not my preference but had good flavor. Then the burnt ends. Oh boy these ends were beautiful. They were sticky and tasted amazing. Could have skipped the brisket and just had the burnt ends for sure. Then there were the ribs. Not normally my go to but when in Rome..... or St Louis I guess. They have a sign that says best in America. I don't doubt that. The ribs had been dry rub then just a little glaze a the end. Super tender and meaty. Bones just let loose with a pull. These ribs were top notch for sure. Overall 9.2 out of 10. Make the stop!!!! ”
“ Met up with a friend & old customer who lives in the area and suggested we check out this staple St. Louis, Missouri, BBQ spot out. I had a half stack of ribs & 1/4 lb of beef brisket with green beans & fries. A1 BBQ! The best ribs I've had in years! Missouri is known for its excellent BBQ. The next time I'm ever back in the Midwest (St. Louis, Missouri) I'm coming back through! The food was ready quickly, too! Bang'n ribs! ”
“ The ribs are incredible - 10/10 Probably one of the best I’ve ever tasted!! And the sweet potato fries were cooked perfect I prefer thicker sliced brisket but it was still pretty good. I will definitely come back if we’re ever back through St Louis. ”
“ We got to Pappy's around 11:40 and the line to dine in was literally out the door but oh was it worth the wait! The line moved quickly (we were out of there and back to our airbnb by 1pm), the service was wonderful, and the food was phenomenal. We tried the chicken, burnt ends, brisket, Frito pie, fire and ice pickles, Cole slaw, potato salad, and sweet potato fries. Our favorites were the burnt ends, fire and ice pickles, and sweet potato fries. ”
